How do I configure the DTMF standard RFC2833?

sipgate has changed the Dual Tone Multiple Frequency (DTMF) to RfC2833 standard to assure overall hardware support.

You don't necessarily need to change your hardware configuration.
Nevertheless, in some devices you have to make small changes: In this case please go to the configuration menu of your device and apply the following changes:

Grandstream:
Please open the configuration menu and go to "Send DTMF:" and select "via RTP (RFC2833)".

Siemens:
To update the configuration of your Siemens device
(e.g.: C450 IP; S450 IP), please use the Setup in our Help-Centre.

Advice: The Siemens SL75 can only be used in SIP-Info Mode, so that it will be handled separately. Therefore you don't have to apply any changes.

Thompson Speedtouch 2030:
Please open the configuration menu and go to "Telephone Settings" and select "DTMF" RFC2833.

Asterisk:
If you are using Asterisk, just change the file sip.conf for the sipgate peer in line "dtmfmode" from "info" to "rfc2833".

Draytec Vigor:
Please open the configuration menu of your router and go to "settings --> VoIP --> CODEC, RTP und DTMF". Select "DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency): Outband; Payload Typ: 101.

Advice: If you do not want to apply the changes manually, you can simply update your device on sipgate.de.
